Plot

The main character is Dante, a half-human, half-demon, son of the legendary warrior Sparda and the mortal woman Eva. He opens his own demon-hunting agency, aiming to avenge his mother's death.

At the beginning of the story, Trish — a copy of Eva created by the villain Mundus — approaches him. Posing as an ally, she lures Dante to Mallet Island, where he must fight the Lord of Demons. However, Dante accepts the challenge, unaware that he has fallen into a trap.
