Spider-Man 2

Spider-Man 2 is a 2004 video game developed by Treyarch and published by Activision, a direct sequel to Spider-Man: The Movie Game, based on Sam Raimi's film "Spider-Man 2." The trilogy was later concluded with "Spider-Man 3" (2007). The PS2 version is notably different from other platforms, and the PSP edition is essentially a separate game.

The player takes on the role of Spider-Man in an open-world New York City: freely swinging between skyscrapers on webs, battling criminals, and solving puzzles. The main upgrade is the physics and web control: movements feel natural and provide a rare sense of speed and freedom.

The storyline follows the events of the movie, supplemented by side missions that reveal details of the story. The game received high praise for its sense of freedom, vibrant urban landscape, and faithful capture of the spirit of Marvel comics — for many, it is one of the best Spider-Man games.
