Kingdom of Paradise

Kingdom of Paradise is a 3D role-playing game set in an Asian martial arts country. The game tells the story of Shinbu, a swordsman and former student of Seiryu. However, after discovering forbidden combat techniques, he was asked to leave. Traveling through the world of Ouka and its four regions (each named after one of the legendary Chinese gods), Shinbu soon finds himself drawn into a conspiracy far deeper than he ever suspected.

Combat in Kingdom of Paradise is more fighting game–based than traditional RPGs, though RPG elements are definitely present. As the game progresses, Shinbu will collect various scrolls and tiles, and players can arrange names on the scrolls in a specific sequence to grant Shinbu access to powerful attacks. Shinbu also wields sword techniques and chi abilities—element-based attacks that let him defeat multiple enemies at once.
