Need for Speed: Carbon (abbreviated as NFSC), released in 2006 for PlayStation 2, is a racing game by EA Black Box. It is a continuation of the famous Need for Speed series, immersing players in the world of dangerous street racing and territory battles. The version for PlayStation Portable (PSP) was released under the title Need for Speed: Carbon — Own the City.

The game's story unfolds in the fictional city of Palmont and continues the narrative after the events of Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005). Players will need to create their team and gain control over the streets by participating in dynamic races. Here, speed is not the only important factor; strategy is crucial as races are tied to territory and reputation battles on the streets.
