Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 Portable for PSP (PlayStation Portable) is an enhanced version of the popular role-playing game developed by Atlus. The story of Persona 3 Portable revolves around a group of high school students who have the ability to summon Personas—mystical entities representing their inner strength. The main character, recently transferred to high school, discovers that every day at midnight, a "dark hour" occurs—a hidden hour between one day and the next, during which the world changes and shadows threatening humanity appear. The hero must join a special group called SEES (Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad). They fight against the shadows and explore the mysterious tower Tartarus, inhabited by "shadows," which appears during the dark hour.

The gameplay of Persona 3 Portable is divided into two main parts: daytime and nighttime. During the day, players attend school, interact with other characters, develop social links, and participate in various activities. These social links, known as Social Links, play a key role in character development and their Personas. At night, players venture into Tartarus to fight shadows and progress through the floors of the tower. The combat system is based on a turn-based scheme, where players can use various abilities of their Personas and combine attacks for maximum effect.

Persona 3 Portable offers players a new experience with the option to choose the gender of the main character, which affects the story and interactions with other characters. This innovation adds depth and variety to the gameplay, allowing players to view the familiar story from a new perspective.

The game's graphics on PSP are executed in an anime style with bright and detailed characters and environments. The soundtrack, created by composer Shoji Meguro, creates a unique atmosphere, blending elements of jazz, hip-hop, and rock, making the game even more engaging.
